Immerse yourself in the timeless sounds of early 20th-century American roots music, echoing the spirit of the 1940s-1960s, paying homage to the great pioneers of that era.The Oak Hill Drifters, hailing from Orlando, Florida, have crafted a musical journey that encapsulates the essence of Americana. Fronted by the captivating Rachel Decker, whose vocal prowess draws comparisons to legends like Janis Martin and Patsy Cline, the band is a harmonious blend of talent and passion for the roots of American music.
Formed in 2014, the current lineup includes Rachel Decker, Craig Roy, George Dimitrov, and Tom Pearce, all seasoned musicians with impressive resumes, having worked with renowned acts such as The HoneyBees (Chicago), Nick Curran, Hindu Cowboys, and Rocket-88 (Orlando).
In 2016, the Oak Hill Drifters released their debut 11-song compilation, "Fly Off The Panhandle," followed by their sophomore recording, "Lied To Me," in June 2018. The band's commitment to authenticity and musical excellence continued with the release of their (5) song EP titled "The Iris Sessions" in late 2022. Produced by the esteemed Billy Chapin, known for his work with artists like Edwin McCain, Sister Hazel, and Don Henley, the EP received critical acclaim both in the United States and abroad. Debuting at #26 on the Relix/jambands.com radio charts and climbing to #88 on the AMA Americana Albums charts, "The Iris Sessions" remains a testament to the Oak Hill Drifters' enduring impact on the music scene.
