Join us in celebration of the completion of Christ Church’s new organ, a world-class instrument built by Harrison & Harrison Organ Builders from Durham, UK. This hymn festival features congregational hymns, choral anthems, and organ improvisation. It will be led by the Right Reverend Frank Logue, bishop of Georgia, and Dr. Bruce Neswick, one of the nation’s foremost concert organists and improvisers, whose resume includes posts at the Cathedral of St. Philip in Atlanta and the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City. Admission | This hymn festival is FREE and open to the public. To manage capacity, ticket reservations are requested. Tickets will be available to members of the Christ Church community beginning August 17, and to the general public on October 1. Runtime | The program will last about 75 minutes. Children | Children are welcome at this concert. Nursery care is provided in the undercroft of the church for children ages 0-4. Parking | Be sure to leave time to find parking in the downtown area; street parking is metered until 8:00 p.m., and garages are available in close proximity to the church.
