About this Event
Twin Cities musicians Berek Awend and Chris Holm, formerly of The Fattenin’ Frogs, reunite to host a celebration of the music of, O Brother Where Art Thou? at Minneapolis’ iconic Granada Theater 25 years to the day after its monumental release on December 5, 2000. Holm and Awend have assembled a cast of some of the Twin Cities’ finest musicians from the bluegrass, folk, and country blues scenes to pay tribute to the movie and soundtrack that ignited a roots music revival and continues to this day to be a major inspiration on upcoming musicians.
Featuring a lineup of Jillian Rae, Mother Banjo, Doug Otto, Art Hoffman, Amanda Awend, Dan Tanz, Beth Supple, Shane Akers, Amy Rajkowski, and John Baillie, this concert will take you on a musical journey back to the 1930’s American South.
