NYFW Blue Jacket Viewing Party presented by FGI Saint Louis

Join us for a live NYFW runway show viewing party on February 1! February is Cancer Prevention Month and in support of the annual Blue Jacket Fashion Show initiative Fashion Group International is partnering with ZERO to raise prostate cancer awareness and promote the need for all men to GET TESTED.

The Blue Jacket Fashion Show was started six years ago by FGI Rising Star designer, Frederick Anderson and will feature celebrities walking the runway wearing custom blue jackets designed/styled by Tommy Hilfiger, Thom Browne, Michael Kors, Ben Sherman, Levi’s, Men’s Wearhouse, FGI Rising Star winners: Carlos Campos, Epperson, Don Morphy, Niyi Okuboyejo, Terry Singh, Peyman Umay and more in support of fundraising and awareness for prostate cancer for men.

We’ll be streaming the show live at 5PM CST for a viewing party at the Steinberg Auditorium at Washington University. Following the runway show we’ll be announcing our upcoming FGI Saint Louis events and you won’t want to miss what we’re planning for this year!

Light bites and beverages will be provided in the Steinberg Gallery outside of Steinberg Auditorium. Please arrive by 4:30pm CST to ensure you are seated before the viewing begins.

PARKING & ENTRY: Park in the Washington University East End Parking Garage (nice well-lit underground lot). Please see included map. Enter the parking garage at the intersection of Forsyth & Wrighton Way or Forest Park Parkway and Hoyt (two separate entrances/exits.) Visitor parking is available on the first level, P1. For street parking you can also park on Skinker or on Lagoon Drive (in Forest Park) and walk to Steinberg Hall.

Our event will be held in the Steinberg Auditorium in Steinberg Hall. After you park, look for the stairs/elevator leading up. The included map shows instructions on how to get to Steinberg Hall from the Parking Garage.

MORE ABOUT THE BLUE JACKET SHOW & DONATION

The Blue Jacket initiative, a yearly runway show was created and brings together the worlds of fashion, entertainment, music, sports, media, and healthcare to openly discuss men’s cancer issues, with the emphasis on prostate cancer, specifically early detection, mental health, and racial disparities in underserved communities.

Each year, we ask top designers to provide an outfit centered around the traditional blue blazer, which has long been heralded as a staple of a man’s wardrobe, to be showcased on the runway by celebrities and notables and would love you to join us this year by creating a look to be worn on the runway. We are delighted to include as 2023 designers our FGI Rising Stars!
