About this Event

NYC Men Teach Men Teach Mondays

Hosted by Nathaniel Smith, Director of NYC Men Teach at CUNY Queens College and co-sponsored by the CUNY LGBTQIA+ Consortium, the Queens College LGBTQIAA+ Programs, CLAGS: The Center for LGBTQ Studies, the Queens College Women & Gender Studies Department, and the Queens College Office of Student Development & Leadership, this session features Dr. Jonathan Paul Higgins and will offer our student community a talk on supporting queerness and empowering men and masculinities of color in education.

About our Guest Speaker: Dr. Jonathan Paul Higgins (Doctor JonPaul) is an award winning educator, professor, national speaker, freelance journalist, thought leader and media critic who examines the intersections of identity, gender and race in entertainment.

They are working on their first book, Black Fat Femme: How to Love Yourself by Unveiling the Power of Visibly Queer Voices (Wiley Global), slated for release in April of 2025.

Doors to the event at the Faculty & Staff Lounge, Student Union Bldg 126 open at 12:00pm.
