A Free, In-Person, Parent Support Group for adoptive, foster, or kinship families in New York City ~ Encompassing the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island and Manhattan, with a location in Staten Island.
All parents are welcome to join us while Youth Hangouts Community Group runs simultaneously! Register for both below on one form! We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our NEW in-person support groups for adoptive, foster, and kinship caregivers in New York City! Facilitated by NYC AGAPE staff. Each facilitator brings their own lens of lived experience (foster parent, adoptive parent, adult adoptee).
WHEN: 4th Saturday of the month 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM
WHERE: New Hope Community Center, 77 Alaska St. Staten Island, NY 10310
Join us for our monthly Staten Island Caregiver Connection LIVE event, where we’ll delve into crucial topics such as:
* understanding our children’s behaviors
* fostering parental resilience
* tackling school challenges
* addressing social and emotional hurdles
* exploring therapeutic versus traditional parenting approaches
We welcome all parents and caregivers seeking a compassionate and understanding community to connect, share, and grow together!
