About this Event
Women’s History Month: Black Women Owned Bookstore Panel Talk
Join us for a powerful celebration of NYC black women owned independent bookstores during Women’s History Month. As part of the NYC Bookstore Crawl, The Lit. Bar is hosting a special afternoon of conversation, reflection, and community featuring Black women bookstore owners from across New York City.
This event brings together booksellers at different stages of their journeys, from seasoned store owners who have been building literary spaces for years to newer bookstore founders who are just beginning to shape their vision. Together, they’ll discuss what it really takes to open and sustain a bookstore, the realities behind the work, and the communities that make these spaces thrive.
Expect an honest and engaging conversation about entrepreneurship, community building, and the cultural importance of Black women-owned bookstores.
Come celebrate Women’s History Month, support independent bookstores, and be part of a conversation about the future of literary spaces in NYC.
Mix and mingle with other book lovers.
Space is limited. Reserve your spot and join us for this special collaboration.
