About this Event
AI technology like OpenAI's ChatGPT, Google's Gemini, Anthropic's Claude, Midjourney and many others will play an increasingly large role in our day-to-day lives. To this end, New York AI Users will host our monthly tech talks & social gathering at Viam's office in Midtown. Viam is an engineering platform for data, AI, and. automation. They will graciously provide free drinks and food for the event. The space and accommodations will be perfect for our talks and the social that follows.
From the creators and organizers of ®, New York AI Users organizes high-quality AI events that both educate and connect AI enthusiasts in the New York area who use or want to use AI to meet their creative, entrepreneurial, and technical aspirations. No technical background is required, only an interest in learning about these tools of the future. Founders, engineers, and creatives are all welcome!
For our March meeting, we will gather at Viam and we will host:
- Talks on AI:
- For our first talk, we will hear from Sudheer Gaddipati, who will discuss how Machine Learning and LLMs complement each other. Have you ever wondered whether to use ML or LLM for your use case? This talk unpacks how they’re built, how they are trained, and where they fit best. We will touch on architectures, real-world uses, and how these things work together. Sudheer will describe how models like DeepSeek and GPT/Grok3 leverage ML and LLMs to power their capabilities. Sudheer has over 25 years of experience in software engineering, with a background in Computer Science Engineering and a Post Graduate Program in AI and Machine Learning. His work spans the entire Software Engineering Lifecycle (SEL) and DevOps, driving large-scale enterprise technology initiatives, system optimizations, and automation efforts. With a strong foundation in software engineering and AI, he focuses on seamlessly integrating AI into existing systems, ensuring it delivers practical value while complementing human expertise.
- For our second talk, we will hear from Xavier Huang about how to effectively increase the accuracy of Gen AI's response by fine tuning the model. Xavier will touch on the different factors we need to consider when we fine tune an LLM. The talk will center around how users can improve the accuracy of these models over time. Xavier is the founder of Manditutors.com and theaitutors.com, has been programming for over 10 years, and specializes in AL and ML. He is passionate about innovating education with technology.
- After the talks, there will be social time with the attendees and the speakers for the remainder of the evening, with free drinks and food
We’re excited to see you soon!
Note: There will be no refunds for cancellations within 48 hours of the event
