NYC 2nd Saturdays Kizomba Party [The Bloom Affair]

Join us every 2nd *Saturday* of the month in NYC for a night of Kizomba! Join us in May for 🌸The Bloom Affair🌸 - a floral themed party with DJ NS and DJ Yawo! 🌼🌺

We are continuing the vibes from our April edition with a new theme and 2 incredible DJs - DJ NS 🇨🇦 and DJ Yawo 🇹🇬! We will also have special guests in town for the Risca weekender with Paula and Mame from Paris 🇫🇷 (separate ticket and purchase for the weekender workshops)! Come to NY for this special and well-curated weekend of events!

Hailing from Toronto, DJ NS is a respected force in the North American Kizomba scene, known for helping build and shape the Toronto community from the ground up. As the organizer of ⚡️Kiz’n the 6ix⚡️and a longtime organizer of many events, he’s played a key role in growing the culture locally and beyond. His DJ sets blend traditional Kizomba roots with Urban Kiz and are always grounded in musicality and connection.

DJ Yawo is a Kizomba DJ and producer originally from Togo, now based in Canada, known for his smooth transitions (and also his musical and fun dances). His sets blend Kizomba, Urban Kiz, Semba, Zouk, and Konpa in a way that feels natural and easy to dance to, with a strong focus on musicality and flow. Coming from a dancer’s perspective, he really understands how to build energy in the room without losing the vibe!

We’re excited to welcome DJ NS *and* DJ Yawo to NYC for their debuts at Kizomba 2nd Saturday!! Come experience the sound of these amazing DJs and community icons!

Edgard is also back to teach our 9:30pm Kizomba intro class, so invite your new friends or come early to brush up on your foundation!
