NUTTY - “Classic rock, all jazzed-up”

Nutty returns to Studio City with their “Jetsetter Jazz”, weaving classic rock favorites with straight-ahead, big band, Afro/Cuban and Brazilian rhythms, bop, lounge and film/TV themes to create ingenious re-arrangements that swing hard and boggle the mind. Irreverent humor, sass and spontaneity make their shows engaging and fun, and the dark suits, skinny ties and pocket squares enhance their retro presentation.

Don Heckman of the LA Times calls Nutty “A one-of-a-kind band…with a swinging, old school Vegas swagger,” James Nadal from All About Jazz dubs it “A cunning approach with immediate appeal,” and LA Jazz Scene’s Scott Yanow says, “The music is as memorable as it is unique.”

Featuring swank front man, Sonny Moon, Nutty takes you on a strange trip inside a musical time machine, leaving rock and jazz fans collectively demystifying the songs in their wake. From intimate club settings to festival and concert events, Nutty takes the stage with a sound that outsizes its octet lineup.
