About this Event
In a world overflowing with conflicting diet advice, Dr. Thomas Campbell brings clarity, science, and hope. As co-author of The China Study, the most comprehensive study of nutrition ever conducted, Dr. Campbell has inspired millions to rethink the way they eat — and to see food as the foundation of true wellbeing.
In his session, Better Food for a Better Life: The Benefits of Nutrition in Caring for Yourself and Others, Dr. Campbell offers a thoughtful, evidence-based framework for making sense of modern nutrition. He’ll explore how the right food choices can prevent and even reverse chronic disease, improve mood and energy, and reduce long-term healthcare burdens.
Drawing on his own clinical research, Dr. Campbell will present findings showing the remarkable metabolic improvements achievable through plant-based dietary interventions — including better outcomes among adults with type 2 diabetes and significant benefits for women with metastatic breast cancer. He’ll connect these results to brain health, focus, and emotional balance, underscoring the deep connection between what we eat and how we think and feel.
This session goes beyond theory. Dr. Campbell will share practical, real-world insights on shopping, cost, and meal planning — empowering attendees to make sustainable, nourishing choices without confusion or overwhelm. His message is both simple and powerful:
“Invest in food now, or invest in doctors later.”
🧠 Part of the NRBS 2025 Annual Conference
This session is part of the Northeast Region Biofeedback Society (NRBS) Annual Conference, a three-day event in New York City bringing together leading voices in neuroscience, psychology, and integrative medicine.
Beyond Dr. Campbell’s session, the weekend features a wide range of presentations exploring the mind-body connection — including:
- Dr. Bessel van der Kolk, author of The Body Keeps the Score, on trauma, resilience, and healing
- Sessions on screen addiction and the neurological impact of digital overload
- Insights into ADHD and emotional dysregulation in children and adults
- Discussions on neuroinflammation and its role in mental health
- Explorations of the power of nature and connection in restoring balance and wellbeing
Together, these talks create a rare, holistic learning experience — blending neuroscience, mindfulness, and lifestyle medicine into one transformative weekend.
