Seasonal Eating for Energy & Vitality.
An inspiring Saturday afternoon talk exploring why spring — not January — is the true energetic beginning of the year.
Meet the Haven’s new Nutritionist, Stephanie, and learn how seasonal eating can support your energy, vitality and overall wellbeing.
After a long Scottish winter of grey skies, shorter days and slower rhythms, spring begins
to emerge quietly. Nature never rushes this transition — and neither should our bodies.
In this seasonal talk, Nutritional Therapist Stephanie Herron explores why spring can feel
like the true beginning of the year, and how aligning with this natural shift can support
greater energy, clarity and vitality.
Rather than focusing on restriction or rigid “detox” trends, this session takes a grounded,
naturopathic approach — looking at how gentle seasonal adjustments to our food and
lifestyle can help us move from winter’s inward energy into spring’s lighter, more
expansive rhythm.
Together we’ll explore:
• What winter represents in the body — and what shifts as we enter spring
• Why our modern lifestyles can disconnect us from natural rhythms
• Common symptoms that arise during seasonal transitions
• Whether spring is truly a good time for detoxification
• Insights from Traditional Chinese Medicine on the organs associated with spring
• Simple, nourishing tweaks to support energy and vitality this season
This is a warm, welcoming space designed to inspire and inform — not overwhelm. There
will be time at the end to bring your questions and queries.
What is included: • A warming herbal tea
• A homemade seasonal snack
• A printed recipe card to recreate the snack at home
• A handout of key points discussed, including practical springtime tips to try
Tickets are priced by donation with proceeds going directly back into The Haven.
About Stephanie
Stephanie is a qualified Nutritional Therapist trained with the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM). Her approach is rooted in naturopathic principles — supporting the body through personalised nutrition, lifestyle guidance, and sustainable change.
With influences from Ayurvedic and Traditional Chinese Medicine teachings, Stephanie is particularly drawn to seasonal living, cyclical rhythms, and supporting energy, digestion and overall wellbeing through food.
Inspired from a young age by home cooking, growing produce, and the nurturing power of the kitchen, Stephanie believes food is one of the most powerful ways we can care for ourselves and those around us.
This talk also marks her introduction as a new practitioner at The Haven.
This event is ideal for:
• Anyone feeling low in energy as we transition out of winter
• Those curious about seasonal eating and naturopathic approaches
• Individuals interested in holistic wellbeing
• Women wanting to reconnect with natural rhythms
No prior knowledge required — just curiosity.
