We encourage you to turn in a sample that is linked to the field trip that you attended during your next learning period. It helps to ensure that we can continue to provide these trips and their educational value.

Heartland field trips are designed for families to attend together. Students need to be accompanied by an adult chaperone. If your student will be attending with another family, please indicate this when you register your student and let the field trip host know once you complete your registration.

Refunds will not be given for any reason. As a courtesy, if you are sick or unable to attend a field trip, please contact the teacher who planned the event to let them know so they do not wait at the venue for you.* Families who are no-shows may lose access to future field trips.*

May I pay using my student's planning amount? Yes! You can pay for your student's ticket and one chaperone ticket with your student's planning amount. There are two steps to purchase tickets for field trips with your student's planning amount.

Step 1. Reserve your ticket on Eventbrite. Please select the "Student ticket ordered through Procurify" and or "Chaperone ticket ordered through Procurify" ticket options in Eventbrite. Complete the checkout process on Eventbrite. You will receive an email confirmation from Eventbrite once your order is complete. This is the first step in reserving your tickets. Immediately after you receive confirmation from Eventbrite you will move to step 2.

Step 2. Place an order for your tickets in Procurify. Search the name of this field trip in the Procurify catalog and complete your order just like you would for any other order.

Your spot on this field trip will not be confirmed until you have placed your order in Procurify. Failure to place an order in Procurify may result in your tickets being given to a family on our waitlist and or being removed from the attendee list and having your funds manually deducted.

Does this trip have any height, weight, and/or age restrictions? Ages 3 and older, please. Each person who attends a field trip or event must be registered through Eventbrite. This applies to babies, toddlers, siblings, and adults. Individuals who have not registered will be asked to leave.

What are the check-in procedures? Please find Julie Anderson near State Street in front of the theater to get your tickets. All family groups will be seated together but our entire Heartland group may be in different parts of the theater. All tickets will be for section B, which could be the middle of the lower floor of the theater, the sides near the front, or the front of the balcony.

Is there on-site parking available? There is nearby parking in small city lot 5, across Anapamu Street (Chapala Street entrance) and large city structure lot 6, behind the Granada Theater (Anacapa Street entrance). Parking is free for the first 75 minutes and $2.50 an hour after that. You could also look for street parking, which doesn’t have a time limit on Sundays (read signs carefully before leaving your car).

Can we pack snacks or lunch for this event or field trip? No, but you may buy snacks/drinks at the venue.
