During its heyday, the original Nut Tree employed hundreds, making it one of the largest employers in Solano County. Former employees can celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Nut Tree at the Nut Tree Employee Reunion at the Vacaville Museum on Saturday, June 19, from noon to 2 pm.
Participants can bring a sack lunch or purchase food from Hank & Hazel’s Really Good Sausage cart which will be on hand. The event includes a brief discussion on Nut Tree history and free entry into the Vacaville Museum’s Nut Tree Centennial exhibit. The exhibit features all things original Nut Tree, including displays of the restaurant, retail shops and the Post Office. The colorful art of Nut Tree graphic artists, led by Don Birrell, are displayed throughout the exhibit.
