All 'sleep training' involves a low nurture approach and withdrawing from your child. An approach that is now understood to undermine a baby's long term emotional development. The foundations of our future emotional wellbeing are laid 0-3 years and brain development in sleep is as crucial as when awake.
Through the latest infant neuroscience studies and research, you will understand the gap between a baby's normal biological sleep patterns and capabilities and society's often unrealistic expectations.
The session will help you to understand the optimum environment that your baby needs to maximise their sleep and in turn yours. It will help you to understand how a baby's sleep differs to ours and how intense developmental phases can impact. You will gain realistic expectations, effective approaches, and how and when best to apply them to aid lifelong healthy sleep habits.
Attendees will receive comprehensive digital resources to refer back to.
