NURDs comp @ Kayak Park in Riverdale

ENTRY FEE WILL BE $5/TRUCK WITH A LIMIT OF 1 TRUCK PER CLASS PER EVENT. This is due to time restrictions. Newcomers to these events will be allowed 1 free run, not scored, to come try things out.
These entries will accumulate throughout the season like last year to contribute to your end of season raffle tickets. Every $5 entry receives 1 raffle ticket.
Once you have run your course, please judge the next driver in line to help out. There are many experienced people to help with this if you are new to judging.
CLASSES:
1) SORRCA CLASS 1 OR STOCK CLASS
2) SORRCA CLASS 2 OR CHEATER CLASS 2
3) UNLIMITED CLASS
SORRCA CLASSES 1 & 2: These are for those of you that want to compete with and build scale rigs. Scale points are awarded in these two classes. THESE CLASSES WILL BE FOLLOWING THE CURRENT SORRCA RULES FOR VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS AND SCALE POINTS. Rigs need to meet the body, bumper, and tire requirements for these classes. PLEASE READ THROUGH THE RULES if you intend to build trucks for these classes. We are more than willing to answer questions but please don’t expect us to teach you all the rules 😊. A copy of the SORRCA rules is in the files section on the group page.
*For NURDs comps, SORRCA Class 2 rigs are required to have a hard body to get scale points. This is due to being scored in the same class 2 group with the Class 2 Cheater rigs.
STOCK CLASS: This is intended for stock type rigs and for newcomers (TRX4’s, Basecamps, etc.). Stock tire sizes are fine. These entries will receive raffle tickets but will not receive end-of-season awards. These will be run and scored on the Class 1 course. No scale points will be awarded.
CHEATER CLASS 2:
1) Chassis must extend to or beyond the center of the axles (front and rear). Solid, chassis mounted bumpers can make up the difference if the chassis is too short.
2) Front bumper is required and must be chassis mounted, as wide as the chassis rails, and extend beyond the body.
3) Body/cage must cover/protect motor, battery, ESC and receiver.
4) 4.75” maximum tire height. No other tire restrictions.
5) No rear steer or dig.
6) No MoA’s or sporty’s
UNLIMITED CLASS:
1) NO MoA’s (MoA’s are allowed in SLUT Crawlers NvS competitions).
COURSE POINTS:
There will be one course per class and it will be run once in each direction for a total of two course runs per class. Courses will have a 6-minute time limit and will have 10 gates with 2 optional bonus gates.
1) Gate Progress: -2 points (1 front and 1 rear tire must pass between the gates)
2) Bonus Gate Progress: -10 points (awarded only on course completion)
3) Back-up / Reverse: +1 point (Tires rotate in reverse, not a slide)
4) Self-Recovery (Winching/Sand ladders/Jacks): +5 points
5) Rollover: +5 points (roll to the side only and must stay in contact with the ground)
6) Gate Marker: +10 points (All gates are live until hit or straddled and each gate marker is a separate penalty)
7) Boundary Marker: +10 points (Boundaries are always live)
8) Course Direction: +10 points (Going through a gate in the wrong direction the first time)
9) Assisted Recovery: +10 points (Kinetic winch, being towed)
10) Vehicle Touch / Reposition: +10 points (must go back to last gate progressed. Time will be paused)
11) Repairs: +10 points and reposition to last gate progressed
a. On course repair: Completed with time running. Once completed, time is paused and reposition to last gate progressed.
b. Off course repair: Completed off course with time noted. When completed, return to last gate progressed and 1 minute deducted from remaining time on course.
12) Did Not Finish (DNF): +15 points for any non-bonus gate not progressed (no bonuses awarded)
13) Did Not Start (DNS): +150 points – ½ scale points. If you complete one course be sure to at least attempt the second to avoid this.
14) Point Out: Course points will be capped at 150 points – ½ scale points. Bonuses will be awarded for completed courses.
Looking forward to seeing you NURDs on the Rocks! Let's dodge some cones!
