“Nunaillisi Aŋnaq” BFA Thesis Exhibition by Ayona-Reily Dixon

Ayona-Reily Dixon’s UAF BFA thesis exhibition uses abstract art to explore relationships between land, body and home.
About this Event

Nunaillisi Aŋnaq is a Bachelor of Fine Arts thesis exhibition by Ayona-Reily Dixon. What is home outside of the structure itself? Abstract works look to the land, the body, and the people between as parts of the answer. Large paintings alongside small works on paper show the different ways of viewing home, a reflection of an ongoing conversation between the whole and its parts. Dixon invites viewers to experience the environment created in the exhibition, and to reflect on the importance of home within their own lives.

Gallery Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. The gallery is closed Saturdays and Sundays.

Opening Reception: Friday, November 6, 5-7 p.m.

All UAF Art events are free and open to the public.
