EN — The London-based saxophone and drum duo Binker Golding and Moses Boyd find inspiration in the music around them: hip-hop, electro, Caribbean rhythms, improv, and, of course, the jazz tradition. What started as an experimental jam session grew into no less than 2 studio albums, 2 live albums, several awards, an acclaimed live show, and, most of all, the insatiable thirst to keep pushing their musical boundaries. Feeding The Machine, their highly anticipated 3rd studio album, crosses into ambient, minimalism and experimental electronic territories, whilst also nodding to the duo's roots in riff-heavy free jazz. NL — Het Londense saxofoon- en drumduo Binker Golding en Moses Boyd vinden hun inspiratie in de muziek om hen heen: hiphop, elektro, Caribische ritmes, impro, en natuurlijk de jazztraditie. Wat begon als een experimentele jamsessie, groeide uit tot maar liefst 2 studioalbums, 2 livealbums, verschillende awards, veelgeprezen liveshow, maar vooral de onstilbare dorst om hun muzikale grenzen te blijven verleggen. Feeding The Machine, hun langverwachte 3e studioalbum, doorkruist ambient, minimalisme en experimentele elektronische gebieden. Tegelijkertijd is het een knipoog naar de wortels van het duo in riff-zware free jazz.
FR — Le duo de saxophone et batterie londonien Binker Golding et Moses Boyd puise son inspiration dans la musique qui l’entoure : hip-hop, électro, rythmes caribéens, impro, et bien sûr la tradition du jazz. D’une jam session expérimentale, le projet a évolué pour donner lieu à pas moins de deux albums studio, deux albums live, plusieurs prix, un live show très applaudi, mais surtout, une soif insatiable de continuer à repousser ses limites musicales. Feeding The Machine, le troisième album studio longtemps attendu de ces musiciens, explore les territoires de l'ambient, du minimalisme et de l'électronique expérimentale. Il est aussi un clin d'œil de ces deux musiciens à leurs propres racines : celles d’un free jazz riche en riffs décapants.
