Spanish language media in Kansas City plays a vital role in keeping the Hispanic community informed, connected, and empowered.
Please join us for a panel discussion hosted by the Museum of Kansas City’s Historian-in-Residence, Dr. Gene Chavez featuring luminaries in the field of Spanish language media.
Ana Nubia Duin is a co-owner of La Mega KC Radio which has played a significant role in delivering vibrant and engaging content to listeners. Her dedication to broadcasting has ensured that the station remains a key player in Kansas City's media, fostering connections among the Hispanic community through the power of radio.
Diana Reyes Raymer is General Manager/Sales Manager of Reyes Media Group which has been a cornerstone in Spanish-language broadcasting in Kansas City. Reyes Media Group provides a vital platform for news, music, and cultural programming. Diana Reyes Raymer, with her extensive experience in media management, has helped the group flourish, reaching a diverse audience and enriching the local community's media landscape.
Jose “Joe” Arce is the publisher and owner of Kansas City Hispanic News, a weekly bilingual newspaper established in 1996. Every September, during Hispanic Heritage month, Kansas City Hispanic News marks its anniversary, serving the KC Metro area by telling the stories of the Latino community. Before creating the newspaper, Arce worked as a reporter and photojournalist for WDAF-TV Fox 4 News for 26 years.
