Sponsored by the Snohomish County Black Heritage Committee, Everett Public Schools, along with other community members, is partnering to celebrate the richness and beauty of the African American heritage and culture at the NUBIAN JAM.
The event features entertainment, fashion shows, activities, and games for the kids, including NJ24 3-on-3 basketball tournament. A special ceremony to honor Black Snohomish County high school graduates will take place and is sponsored by the Snohomish County Black Heritage Committee (SCBHC).
There will also be a variety of vendors selling food, wares, art, and other products. In addition, the event will have representatives and resource tables offering information about services, education, health, wellness, and resources available in Snohomish County.
The SCBHC’s mission is to acknowledge and celebrate Black heritage. This is accomplished by educating the Snohomish County community about the African American culture, promoting racial harmony, and embracing cultural diversity & inclusion.
The event is FREE. Shuttles will be available if attendees park off-site.
