Nubian Choreography Series - Egyptian Theatrical Folkloric DancePlease read all info below.
Six (6) Week Course - In this six (6) week course, you will learn technique and choreography with option to perform. Cost is $90. Starts Aug July 25th.
Nubian Dance: There are actually a wide variety of Nubian dances. Previously the Nubian people were of different groups in many different villages scattered along the length of the Nile in southern Egypt and Sudan. Some of the dances come from the Kensi people, some from Fadiki and some from groups who identify with Arab (Khaliji) immigrants.
REQUIREMENTS
This choreography is open level but student must have bellydance experience and must be an active student while working on technique. Active student requirements below:
-Must be enrolled in a level II / III weekly bellydance class OR
-Must be enrolled in the fundamentals of bellydance class OR
-Must take bi weekly private classes with Maria
PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITY
Students will have an opportunity to perform this choreography at our annual Raqs Alegria show in November 2024 and also at our Treasures of the Caravan show in 2025. Performing is always optional and not a requirement.
COSTUMING
Will be provided by studio for a rental fee.

Investment for the 6 week series is $100
