Accelerate Your Research with Azure and AI


Discover how AI and cloud technology can accelerate research at the NSU Azure Research + Copilot Symposium 2026.

Day 1 is designed for researchers, faculty, graduate students and research-support professionals who want practical guidance on applying Microsoft Azure and AI to real research workflows.

Participants will learn directly from Microsoft specialists through research-focused briefings, practical examples, demonstrations and hands-on labs.

Topics include:

  • Azure cloud and AI foundations
  • Research-focused cloud architectures
  • Microsoft Discovery and agentic AI
  • Azure High-Performance Computing with CycleCloud
  • Microsoft Azure AI Agents
  • GitHub Copilot for research workflows, coding, data analysis and documentation

During registration, attendees must select one of three afternoon session options. Advance registration is required for the hands-on labs.

Please bring a laptop for the hands-on portions of the program.

Researchers, faculty and staff from Florida Atlantic University and Florida International University are also invited to attend.

Explore the latest developments in scientific research using Microsoft Discovery and practical use cases led by Jackson Feijo Filho, Director, Azure for R&D GTM Americas.

Hands-on Lab: Azure High-Performance Computing with CycleCloud

A partner-led hands-on lab exploring Azure high-performance computing environments and research workloads.

Hands-on Lab: Microsoft Azure AI Agents

A partner-led hands-on lab focused on building and working with AI agents in Microsoft Azure.



1:30–4:00 PM

Demo: Accelerating Research Workflows with GitHub Copilot

A demonstration-focused alternative exploring how GitHub Copilot can support coding, data analysis, documentation, research workflows and teaching scenarios.



Adjournment

Labs and sessions will conclude independently with remarks and next steps from Microsoft.
