About this Event

Join the NSBE Experience

Bring the whole family to the NSBE Experience STEM Expo — a free,, hands-on celebration of science, technology, engineering, and math for students in grades K–12!

Explore interactive STEM exhibits, meet engineers and innovators from across the region, and discover what’s possible when curiosity meets community. Whether your child loves building, coding, experimenting, or just asking “why,” there’s something here for every young mind.


Location: NC State University Centennial Campus

James B Hunt Library, Duke Energy Hall

Outside Courtyard (weather permitting)

Parking: FREE - Campus decks (within a short walk, specific maps will be added to this site) - Look for Parking Lot Greeters Allow time to find parking and to walk tp the Hunt Library (20 minutes)


Attire: Casual & STEM Friendly - T-shirt and jeans, sneakers, suggest closed toe shoes for safety. Wear your favorite STEM shirt, buttons, or school interest. Your group or club identifiable attire.

Food: Light lunch and snacks will be available. Indicate dietary restrictions on your registration. Campus food options may also be available.


Hosts:

United Shades of STEM Inc., NCSU NSBE, and RTP NSBE Jr., in collaboration with area NSBE chapters and STEM organizations from across the region (NC STEM Squad).

Registration: is required and space is limited — reserve your spot today!

  • Obtain a ticket by walking through the registration form.
  • See liability releases, waivers and acknowledgements.
  • The above document is for reference only and DOES NOT need to be printed. Your digital acknowledgement and Signature ONSITE is the final record.

Parents are encouraged to stay, as this is not set up as a "Drop Off" event. We believe STEM is a family matter.


Community Groups: Please register each member and include the name of your organization. Inform Dr. Toni via email the name of your group and point of contacts who will be attending.

Cancellation:

If your plans change and you are unable to attend, please be so kind to cancel and let us know. We typically sell out and would like to past the opportunity to participate to others.

If you have symptoms of sickness or feel ill, please do not fill obligated to attend, as we want to protect your health and that of others. This can be done via your e-ticket or eventbrite app. Please do so by Sept 9, 2026, if at all possible.

This section is for Volunteers, Exhibitors and Presenters:

Volunteers - Arrive between 9:30 AM and 10:00 AM EST for check-in, training, and assignment. You will be invited to a zoom pre-event call the first week of September. Register and select the volunteer ticket.

Exhibitors - Arrive between 10:15 AM and 10:30 AM EST for check-in and to be set up by 11:15 AM EST. We are planning for 2-4 members of your org attending to support your tabling or activity, as space is limited. Please have each member attending register. Selct the Exhibitor/Presenter Ticket

Groups/Club-style Exhibitors - Larger exhibitor groups (stem clubs, robotics teams, coding clubs) we are planning for 5-10 participants including chaperones. Please have each member attending register. Selct the Exhibitor Ticket

Presenters- Please register and connect with Dr. Toni for your specifical arrivale time/need. Select Exhibitor/Presenter Ticket.

Note: Please confirm number of registrants with us by Sept 9, 2026 so we can confirm space and make final tabling location or activity assignments.
