A Range Safety Officer (RSO) Training class is planned for Saturday, April 27th. Class size is limited to 10 participants. We do these classes in hopes of gaining more qualified volunteers to operate the various ranges at Sportsman's Acres but completion of this class will allow NRA certification good anywhere in the USA. Experience on shooting ranges is very helpful for participants. All training will be done at the main building at the Geary County Fish and Game Association complex located at Sportsman’s Acres, 3922 Highway K-244 Spur near Milford Lake. Class will begin at 8:15 AM. We should be done with all course work, practical exercises, and testing by 4:30 PM. The enrollment fee for the class will be approximately $30.00 - $35.00 – depending on class size. There is a certification registration fee you will pay directly to the NRA to complete the certification process. Please bring a check or exact cash as there are no credit card processing capabilities at the classroom. Items you may want to bring include: highlighter, pens, pencils, notepad, marking tabs and posted note pads. Please bring lunch and/or snack items. Coffee, water, and soft drinks are available at the classroom.
