Prerequisites: Successful completion of NRA Basic Instructor Training (BIT) and NRA Basic Pistol courses. Possession of basic firearm safety and shooting skills. Instructor Candidates will complete a pre-course questionnaire and demonstrate their firearm background in assessment exercises.This course teaches the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing, promoting and teaching the NRA’s Basic Pistol Shooting course. Students demonstrate these skills through participating in practical exercises during the course, completing a written examination and passing a live-fire shooting qualification.
