Description: The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting course covers basic fundamental knowledge of handguns, firearms safety, general handling and operation, loading and unloading techniques. Upon completion of the classroom instruction, students will participate in a basic live fire session. Gear list:
• Positive learning attitude
• Notebook and pen
• Handgun chambered in a caliber that the student can fire accurately (recommend striker fire-type handgun, i.e. Glock)
• Protective eye wear (Ballistic)
• Ear Protection
• “Duty Belt” or thick belt (i.e. 1.5” nylon belt that holds holster, magazine pouches, etc.)
• 100-150 rounds of ammunition (Purchased prior to class- None available from the instructor)
• 2-3 Magazines
Class size: 2-6 students (Class must reach minimum or we will reschedule)
We will start the class at Arrow Security's location in North Glendale for the classroom portion, then we will go to Ben Avery for the live fire shooting portion afterwards
