Town meeting is a gathering of registered voters that serves as the legislative branch of town government. Town meetings are used to pass budgets, enact laws, and authorize spending. It is crucial that every NR Democrat and Dem-leaning independent try to attend Town Meeting. Town Republicans are very vocal and very effective at pushing their extreme agenda at these meetings. This Town Meeting will be less contentious than the one in June, will have fewer agenda items, and will be sped up by the use of the new electronic voting system (clickers). Like last time, we can help arrange volunteer childcare (older kids of fellow NR Dems) for parents of young children looking to attend.
