An annual NPYC tradition, an Oktoberfest party with a hilarious auction. Combined with the October General Membership Meeting, a Short Cruise and Dock Party overnight at Washington Sailing Marina = DOCKtoberfest!
Arrive by boat in the morning/mid-day on Saturday, festivities kick off at 1pm. Or, drive in and park in the large free parking lot. Bring a folding chair for seating if you wish.
Lots of dock space on "A" Dock, with pedestal plug ins for your vessel, GRATIS, courtesy of the marina management.

1pm party open, arrive anytime that morning, but choice docking and pedestal plug-ins first come first served.
2pm NPYC board meeting
3pm NPYC General Membership meeting - includes nominations for the 2025 slate of officers.
GUEST SPEAKER - Previously we had the Potomac Riverkeepers - discussion of river monitoring and tour of Sea Dog, the floating laboratory! This year TBD
4pm Buffet Opens
4:30pm AUCTION
6:30pm Sunset / Socializing on the dock
Final timeline and agenda will be set the week prior to the event.
TBD will cater the main event with an expected menu of:
• Bratwurst with Sauerkraut
• Hamburgers
• German Potato Salad
• Salad
• Black Forest Cake
• German Beer on tap
• Wine, soda, water
* Members, please bring a side dish and extra chairs if you have them! (e.g., sweet and sour red cabbage, German cucumber salad, deviled eggs, your Granny’s favorite dish, etc.)

Don't forget to dig through your attics, basements and dock boxes for items to auction off. Wiseacre and amusing auctioneers bring life to your old junk and rake in money to the club. A couple of pick-up trucks will be available to shuttle auction items from Columbia Island down to WSM. Post a comment within the event if you need auction items shuttled from Columbia Island to Washington Sailing Marina on Saturday morning.
Bring a dish to share on the dock! Snacks, finger foods, desserts, beverages, all are welcome and add to the festivities. Your RSVP helps us plan the food and drink accordingly. Free for members, $50 for guests.

Stick around late in the day for a Dock Party in the evening with music and dancing.
