Noël Coward’s Private Lives

The theatrical comedy event of 2027 is coming to Theatre Royal Sydney! Internationally acclaimed British actor Hugh Bonneville (Downton Abbey, Paddington) joins four-time Gold Logie Award-winning Australian star of stage and screen Lisa McCune (The King and I, Steel Magnolias, Girl from the North Country) in Noël Coward’s sparkling comedy masterpiece, Private Lives.
Elyot & Amanda thought they had put their disastrous marriage behind them after divorcing five years ago. Whilst honeymooning with their respective new spouses their lives are once again intertwined when they discover they are staying in neighbouring suites. What follows is a deliciously funny clash of egos as old sparks fly, tempers flare & common sense goes out the window.
Joining them on stage are Leon Ford (The Pacific, Elvis), Silver Logie Award winner Claire van der Boom (Rush, Sisters of War) and multi-Helpmann Award-winning actress Julie Forsyth (Cloudstreet, Endgame).
Playing for a strictly limited 5-week season, don't miss this smart and stylish play that's packed with razor-sharp one-liners, outrageous behaviour and enough romantic chaos to keep everyone on their toes!
