Without teachers, life would have no class. Teacher Appreciation Week typically happens in May. At Virtual Run Events, we surely do appreciate all of the teachers out there and wanted to join in and celebrate them and all that they do. We’re happy to hold our fifth annual Thankful for Teachers virtual race!

• Races can be completed anytime in 2024!
• 1 mile, 5k, 10k, 13.1, and 26.2 virtual races are available — you choose which distance you want to complete
• Great for all ages
• 15% of race registration fees will be donated to DonorsChoose.org.
• You’ll receive a medal and bib after you sign up.

Teachers are the true heroes out there! At the end of the school year, they are exhausted and ready for a well-deserved break.hey are dedicated to their work and stick through it until the final bell rings! Want to honor your favorite teachers? Sign up for this virtual race! This is a great way for past and present students and even for teachers themselves to be active! Like all of our races, we will be donating part of the proceeds to charity, and for this race we choose to donate to DonorsChoose.org, an organization that makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need, moving us closer to a nation where students in every community have the tools and experiences they need for a great education.

Cost: The price is $20 and that includes your medal and bib. Plus, at least 15% of every entry will be donated to DonorsChoose.org. *We are in no way affiliated with this charity, we like to choose a different charity for each of our races and are happy to raise funds for them.

What is a virtual race? A virtual race is a race that can be run (or walked) from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill, at the gym or on the track (or even at another race). You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself. Running and walking on your own, or with friends! And your medal will be shipped directly to you. Complete a virtual 5Ks, 10K, half marathon and more! Each of our races benefits a different charity. We’ve already raised more than $892,045 for charities from running events on this website! We are making a difference…one race at a time.
