November Tea Dance - Dore

Join us at our Dore dance with live music from our resident organist Aubrey Robinson. Its the perfect opportunity for you to enjoy your favourite dances and learn a few new ones. The welcoming atmosphere provides the perfect to meet with friends, old and new, for a great social gathering.

This dance is being supported and part funded by the South West Local Area Committee and Sheffield City Council, allowing us to offer entry at a reduced rate of just £3 per person.

We mix sequence, ballroom and latin, and Aubrey is more than happy to accommodate any requests you have as well as playing some of the country’s favourite dances like the Rumba One, Saunter Together and Mayfair Quickstep. He will perform a mixture of songs from the 1920s to modern day – perfect for having a sing-a-long while you dance.

We have a selection of sandwiches, cakes and snacks available to purchase along with hot and cold drinks, all served with a smile and chat by the lovely Caroline.

Over the years the dances have been held in a number of different locations throughout Yorkshire, including Leeds, Rotherham, Sheffield and Harrogate. Then, in 2020, we went online with Aubrey providing a live virtual dance every week that helped keep us all entertained for 18 months, with some of the streamed videos receiving over 40,000 views!
