Join us for our November Meet Up! We will be joined by Margaret Rowlett, who will be leading a discussion on how to be an effective activist in overwhelming times! In a world that feels heavier by the day, staying active, hopeful, and engaged can feel like an impossible task with the weight of it all — the news, the burnout, the endless fight for justice.
Margaret will lead a discussion on effective activism using
the principles of strategic nonviolence. We’ll look at the dynamics of power, how to shake its pillars of support, and ways to design effective issue-based campaigns using nonviolent direct
action, including how to choose tactics that lead to success.
Together, we’ll learn from experienced changemakers who have faced exhaustion and despair, yet continued to rise.
Come as you are — tired, hopeful, uncertain, determined. Leave with tools, connections, and a renewed sense that even in overwhelming times, you are not alone, and together, we are
powerful agents of change!
Food and drinks provided! Bring a friend!
