Ben Groner III is the author of the poetry collection Dust Storms May Exist (Madville Publishing) and the recipient of Texas A&M University’s 2014 Gordone Award for undergraduate poetry. His work has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize and Orison Anthology, and has been published in Whale Road Review, GASHER, South Carolina Review, Rust & Moth, and elsewhere. Ethan Palmer is a Knoxville based poet who founded and hosted the city’s Electric Pheasant Open Mic Poetry event for a run of five wild years. After that, he sold out and now works as a high school English development teacher, where he finds daily inspiration in his incredible students from around the world. His poetry has appeared in Yolk, the Offbeat, Pif, the Philosophical Idiot, and ETSU’s Mockingbird Lit Journal. He is currently working on a poetry collection and struggling to piece together scripts for a speculative fiction comic series.
Merrick Sloane (they/them) is a Queer 90’s kid and nonbinary poet from OKC who’s a sucker for expletives and second languages. Their chapbook, Queerly Beloved, was self-published in 2020. Their work has appeared in the first and only gender and sexuality journal in Oklahoma, The Central Dissent, and in Stories for the Road: Trauma and Internal Communication. Merrick was a 2020 and 2021 DreamYard Rad(ical) Poetry Consortium fellow. Currently, Merrick serves as the Poetry Editor of Grist, and as the host of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville’s reading series Chiasmus where they are pursuing their MFA. Merrick writes so that others may feel radically loved.
Anna Laura Reeve is the author of Reaching the Shore of the Sea of Fertility (Belle Point Press, 2023). Winner of the 2022 Adrienne Rich Award for Poetry, selected by American poet Jane Hirshfield, Reeve was also a finalist for the Greg Grummer Poetry Contest, the Ron Rash Award, the Heartwood Poetry Prize, and won the 2024 Emerging Writers Award from the East Tennessee Writers Hall of Fame. Her poems have appeared or are forthcoming in The Cincinnati Review, Beloit Poetry Journal, Terrain.org, and others. She is a two-time Pushcart nominee and a three-time Best of the Net nominee. She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee’s Master’s program in literature and poetry writing, and lives with her daughter and husband in Knoxville, where she was born and raised.
