NOVEMBER ARTISTS FOR CHANGE AWARENESS EVENT
About this Event
Socialize, enjoy good food & drinks, network with other filmmakers, take part in the silent auction, and help raise awareness of the fentanyl crisis, teen trafficking, and other issues!
This month's awareness event will also include a short presentation on some upcoming social impact projects. We will present a teaser for Artists for Change's latest project, The Killing Machine, an action-thriller feature film highlighting the dangers of fentanyl, and an educational short documentary. We are currently raising funds for post-production.
Mark Clark and Chris Debiec will present The Platform - an immersive documentary exploring massive eco-transformations of unused Oil rigs. They are looking to raise $100K for development and documentary production.
Sam Shada will present Come Home With Me, which follows a young Arab-American (Alawi) girl’s messy search for love in all the wrong places during her first year of college as she spirals into obsession over her high-school crush (Keele) after he deploys to Iraq. She is looking to raise funds towards her production budget.
Moon Yun Pellerin will present her project Unsaid, a narrative short centered on a young man with cerebral palsy who cannot speak but has a deep and unshakable love for his neighbor. The film explores themes of self-sacrifice, love, and disability justice through a poetic and inclusive lens. She’slooking to raise $18,000 for her production budget.
