Please join us at the New Haven Lawn Club on November 12, 2024 at 12PM for lunch and a talk by Vice Provost for Research and William Ziegler III Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Science at Yale University Dr. Michael Crair for his talk "Progress Pursuing Yale’s Scientific Research Priorities: An Example in Neuroscience".
A three-course plated luncheon will be served. Free parking is available at the New Haven Lawn Club, which is handicap and ADA Accessible, and on the Yale Shuttle and CT Transit bus lines.
Michael C. Crair is the William Ziegler III Professor of Neuroscience, Professor of Ophthalmology & Visual Science, and Vice Provost for Research at Yale University. He earned a PhD in physics from UC Berkeley and completed postdoctoral training in physics and neuroscience in Japan and the U.S. Before joining Yale's Department of Neuroscience in 2007, he was a faculty member at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Crair's research focuses on brain circuit development, particularly the role of early spontaneous neuronal activity, using advanced imaging techniques. He has received numerous awards for his research and teaching, including the Sloan Foundation Fellowship and the March of Dimes Basil O'Connor Fellowship.
