Novato Baylands Bilingual Bird-A-Thon Walk 2025

Join us on October 11th for an exciting morning of birding at the Novato Baylands, as a part of our bilingual team, Los Pajaritos Alegres, in Point Blue’s 47th Annual Rich Stallcup Bird-A-Thon! We will meet at 9am at our Novato Baylands native plant nursery at 737 Aberdeen Rd, Novato, CA. We’ll then walk at a relaxed pace along the Bay Trail until 12pm looking for as many species of birds as we can find as a team, along with other wildlife and special wetland plants.

The event will be in English and Spanish, and anyone is welcome to join – including families with young children, small groups, those with no birding experience, and seasoned birders. Binoculars, bird books, and spotting scopes will be provided (bringing your own binoculars is still a good idea), plus snacks and drinks. We recommend bringing your own water bottle, sun protection, and comfortable walking shoes.

Some of the birds we might see include spectacular flocks of sandpipers, hundreds of migratory ducks, giant White Pelicans, and tiny Snowy Plovers. Come bird with us and learn about the special salt marsh ecosystem – we hope to see you there!

Se proporcionarán binoculares para su préstamo, libros sobre aves y telescopios (es una buena idea, si puede traer sus propios binoculares), además de refrigerios y snacks. Recomendamos traer su propia botella de agua, protección solar y calzado cómodo para caminar.
