In NOVAE, Chroma celebrates renewal, creation, and the quiet power of beginnings. The title, meaning “new stars,” evokes the moment when something brilliant bursts forth from darkness. A fitting image for a concert that brings fresh voices and new music to life.
Our programme features a new work by Dr. Matthew Emery, Chroma’s composer in residence, alongside pieces that reflect different facets of transformation: the resilience that follows loss, the courage to imagine something new, and the beauty that emerges when sound breaks silence. The music moves between intimacy and radiance, drawing listeners into a soundscape that feels both personal and vast.
