An afternoon of film screenings and live poetry in tribute to Benjamin Zephaniah
Late last year, we lost the brilliant British poet Benjamin Zephaniah – this summer, Nottingham Poetry Festival is paying tribute to him, with a series of films by local filmmaker Ben Wigley featuring poetry by Benjamin Zephaniah, including documentary feature Paa Joe & the Lion (72m), alongside short films PS Your Mystery Sender (10m) and In this World (4m).
Local poets will also pay tribute to Zephaniah, and the films will be followed by a Q&A with director Ben Wigley and producer Anna Griffin, about their experience collaborating with the poet.
Proceeds from ticket sales from this event will go towards supporting the brainstrust charity.

Please note, seating for this screening is unallocated. If you have any access requirements such as wheelchair spaces, please contact Broadway's Box Office team at [email protected] or 0115 952 6611, who will arrange seat reservations for you for this event.
