Are you bored of stereotype competitions? Do you want to challenge yourself more? Well, Good news for you! Finally, the ultimate science festival is here! So, what’s stopping you? The all-favorite, Notre Dame Science Club, the very first science club of this Indian subcontinent and the most prominent science club of Bangladesh, is presenting you the largest and most prestigious science carnival of Bangladesh, Notre Dame Annual Science Festival 2022 & 32nd GKC, to enthuse and inspire young people about scientific knowledge; to embolden them as citizens; to bring the breakthrough and to create the next decade of science. Hold on to your couch and prepare to acquire your ticket to this amazing festival!

# Date: 16th, 17th and 18th March, 2023.

# Venue: Notre Dame College, Dhaka.

# Host: Notre Dame Science Club.

# Events:
1. Project Expo ‘22: Project Exhibition:
In this event, participants will present their projects. Major objective of organizing this exhibition is to provide the platform and unleash the potential of the students by showcasing their innovative projects. Project team can comprise 2 members (maximum) to participate in the Project display competition. The 3 categories on which the projects will be judged are:
· Physics
· Biology/ Biochemistry.
· IT
The project will be divided into 2 (two) divisions:
· School level (Class 6-10)
· College Level (Class 11 & 12)
Participants are bound to follow any decision made by the authority of Notre Dame Science Club during the competition.

2. Art and Design ‘22:
This segment includes=
· Wall Magazine and Scrapbook (School and College).
· Digital Poster Designing.
· Conceptual Art.
· Videography. (Online)

3. Scholar Hunt ‘22:
This segment will be divided into four categories for Olympiads- i) Elementary Level (Class 1-5), ii) Junior Level (Class 6-8), iii) Senior Level (Class 9-10), iv) Intermediate Level (Class 11-12). This segment includes:
· Science Olympiad.
· Sci-fi Story Writing.

4. Abstract ‘22:
This event includes=
· Presentation on Scientific Content.
· Science-Based Extempore Speech.

5. Seconds to Beat ‘22: Rubik’s Cube Solving:
This competition is designed to challenge the most accomplished Cube solvers in one of the most exhilarating emerging sports. The Competition is of 3x3x3 Rubik’s Cube.

6. Sci-venture ‘22:
Hunt the Hidden:
This is a team-based event. Each team will consist of 4 members. There is no group barrier. Anyone from any group (Science, Business Studies and Humanities) can team up & participate. There will be two rounds= Preliminary round and Final round.

7. Tech Con ‘22:
This event includes=
· Robo Soccer.
· Line Follower Robot (LFR)
· Google it
· Web Page Designing.

8. 32nd GKC:
This event includes:
· 32nd General Knowledge Competition- Category (School & College)
· Workshop.

9. Public Event:
This event includes:
· Public Quiz.
· VR Gaming.
· AR Gaming.
· Trash Collector.
· R.C. Car Racing.
· Scientific Cosplay.
· Focus Challenge.
· Line Follower Robot Maze.
· Computer Gaming.

§ Scholar Hunt ’22:

N.B. = The executive committee keeps the right to change the schedule.

# Rules & regulations:

· For Participants:

1. The Participants must be in school/college uniform and must keep their ID cards with them.
2. Participants are requested not to carry any extra bags or materials not related to the event.

· For Visitors:

1. Students must be in school/college uniform and guardians are requested to keep their National ID card with them.
2. Visitors are not allowed to bring any extra bags or materials.
3. Visitors are cordially requested to co-operate with the authority of Notre Dame Science Club for the smooth completion of the festival.

Event rules and regulations:

a) Project Expo ’22:
Project Exhibition: In this event, participants will showcase their prepared project. Each team can have a maximum of 3 members. The projects will be judged on 3 categories:
· Physics
· Biology / Biochemistry
· IT
The participants will be divided into 2 (two) divisions:

· School (Class 6 - 10)
· College (Class 11 - 12)

b) Art & Design ’22:
Wall Magazine and Scrapbook (School and College): A group of maximum 2 members are allowed to display a wall magazine or Scrapbook themed on scientific topics. There is no specific size for the wall magazine and scrapbook.

Digital Poster Designing (Online): The poster must have a scientific theme. Participants have to submit raw files of the poster through mail at- [email protected] by 14th March.

Conceptual Art: The participant has to create a conceptual art based on a specific concept. Conceptual art can be done by hand drawing. The arts will be displayed in the exhibition.

Videography (Online): Participants must make a video on any scientific topic with a maximum length of 2 minutes. Then they will have to submit recorded clip on mail for further judgement by 14th March. The video submission mail is- [email protected] .

c) Scholar Hunt ’22:
Science Olympiad: Physics, chemistry, math & biology Olympiads will take place simultaneously for 2 hours. Prizes will be awarded for combined performance in the aforementioned subjects.
There will be 4 categories for Olympiads:

· Elementary (Class 1-5)
· Junior (Class 6 - 8)
· Senior (Class 9 -10)
· Intermediate (Class 11 - 12)
Sci-Fi Story writing: Participants will have to write a sci-fi story with strong scientific base. They will be given 40 minutes to complete the story.

d) Abstract ’22:
Presentation on Scientific Topic: Each team will comprise of maximum 2 members and they would present on scientific topics prioritizing on recent topics. Participants will be allocated maximum 5 minutes for their presentation.
Science-Based Extempore Speech: The participant will be given 3 minutes time for preparing his/her speech after an unbiased selection. He/she will be given 4 minutes to deliver his/her speech.


e) Seconds to beat ’22:
Rubik’s Cube Solving: This competition is designed to challenge the most accomplished cube solvers in one of the most exhilarating emerging sports. The solvers would have to solve 3x3x3 Rubik’s Cube.

f) Sci-Venture ’22:
Hunt the Hidden: This is a team-based event with each team consisting of 4 members There will be two rounds:
o Preliminary round: The preliminary round will be a written test. The team members would have to solve some riddles and problems. All the team members would have to participate and each team would participate combinedly. Top 5 scoring teams will advance to the final round. 20 minutes will be provided for the preliminary round.
o Final round: The final round is the main attraction. Each team will be given some riddles. They would have to crack the riddles and find the object/instrument at the allocated spot in the campus. The participants will have to solve the puzzle by completing all of their tasks.
This is an open campus round. Each of the tasks would have a specific time limit. A Unicode would be provided to each of the teams for tracking. Any kind of cheating or illegal approach would result in instant disqualification.
N.B: Students of Notre Dame College cannot participate in this event.

g) Tech Con ’22:
Google It (Online): Participants will be given 20 minutes to find the data-based question’s answer through google search. This event will be held online.

Web Page Designing (Online): A maximum of 2 participants are allowed for each web page design. The page has to embody a scientific theme. Then participants have to submit a designed web page through the mail for further judgement. It has to be submitted through mail at- [email protected] by 14th March.
Robo Soccer: This is an open event with no categories. Each team can have a maximum of 2 members. The robot has to be controlled manually by wireless communications such as NRF, RF, Bluetooth etc.
Line Follower Robot (LFR): This event aims to engage students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), boost their interpersonal skills, and apply what they learn into something real. No wireless communication or external data feed to robot will be allowed. Participants can register online for this competition.


h) 32nd GKC:
32nd General Knowledge Competition: This event will have two categories – school and college. All members of a team have to be of the same category. Each team may consist of 3 members at maximum. Teams comprising of the members of HSC Batch '22 are allowed to participate in the competition in the "College Level" category.
Workshop:
Workshops are one of the most efficient ways of expanding our knowledge. Workshops on various topics shall be arranged to quench the thirsts of the future scientists for knowledge.

i) Public event:
Public Quiz: In this event, participants will be given a definite time for answering some relevant questions.
VR Gaming: This event will give the participants an immersive experience on VR Gaming. This event is open for everyone and will be held throughout the fest all day long.
AR Gaming: This event will give the participants an immersive experience on AR Gaming. This event is open for everyone and will be held throughout the fest all day long.
Trash Collector: Participants have to collect trash from the field which will be aligned on the field. The person who will collect the highest trash with their collector robot will win 1st place. Other places will follow along.
R.C Car Racing: Participants will be able to participate in this breathtaking thrilling event to compete with everyone through speed! The participant who will be able to cross the track successfully will be announced as a winner.
Scientific Cosplay: Participants will be able to participate in this fun event by scientific-themed cosplay. They will be able to wear any outfits which embody science. Participants are prohibited to wear any informal/unconventional dresses.
Focus Challenge: Participants will be able to try out to take part in the focus challenge to test out their focusing skills!
Line Follower Robot maze: Participants will be able to play Line Follower Robo Maze by participating in this event.
Computer Gaming: Participants will be able to game on a computer by participating in this event. It will be one of the most attractions of our festival.

j) Science Club Convocation:
To develop our country, NDSC aims to bring all the Science club of Dhaka to discuss “How every Science Club can contribute in building Smart Bangladesh with the help of AI”.
