Join Naturalists Robin Kling and Diane Schwartz for a 3 hour Pontoon Nature Tour from 2pm to 5pm. See the natural side of Madison's lakes and the Yahara River from the water! Advance registration and a small fee is required at http://MSCR.org. See Special Tours and select the Pontoon Nature Tour offered Saturday September 06, or choose another MSCR pontoon ride if the special Pontoon Nature Tour is full. Registered participants should arrive by 1:30pm to check in at the MSCR Pontoon Pier at the end of the boat trailer parking lot across Sherman Avenue from the Tenney Park lighthouse and boat landing. The Pontoon Nature Tour may go to Lake Mendota or to Lake Monona and Lake Waubesa depending on wind and weather. Learn about the natural habitat and the importance of clean lakes and natural shorelines. Enjoy looking for turtles, birds and other wildlife! Welcoming, healthy, fairly accessable, family and kid friendly, educational, no pets. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. First Saturday every month Bird and Nature Adventures at Tenney Park are co-sponsored by Madison Parks, Southern Wisconsin Bird Alliance, Wild Ones, Friends of Tenney Park, Friends of Tenney-Lapham, Friends of the Yahara River Parkway and Wild Tenney.
