Notary Public Preparatory is an on-campus, 14-session (42 contact hours) course that provides preparation for Louisiana's State Notary exam that is given multiple times per year.Class discussions will focus on the transactions that notaries are authorized to draft and execute as granted by Louisiana law. The transactions include but are not limited to: mortgages, immovable property conveyances, motor vehicle conveyances, leases, contracts, legal descriptions, successions, wills, trusts, and community property regime. The Louisiana court system and the Notary Public's role within that system will be included in the discussion. Please note that successful preparation for the exam will require extensive reading outside of the classroom. This class will be held in-person on the Loyola Uptown Campus.
