Portland based singer, songwriter, producer, and photographer Alison Segura (Nosila) started making music with a classical vocal degree in one hand and a guitar in the other.
As Nosila developed her signature dream-pop sound it was shaped by ear-worm melodies, filtered vocal layers, minimalistic drums, lush synths, and dreamy guitars. Her current sound has built on this foundation and has added sounds borrowed from r&b, indie, and 80s and 90s pop.
Animal Prince
Oakland, CA group Animal Prince is the lovechild of vocalist/violinist Fae Nageon de Lestang & partner Grant McLeod (drums/keys). They seamlessly blend retro-inspired pop, string arrangements, and modern grooves to create a playful, yet sophisticated sound that dances outside the confines of modern pop. They've gained a loyal fanbase through the festival scene in California and Florida.
Shy Honey
Shy Honey is an up and coming electro pop band out of Portland, OR formed in 2019 by lead singer and local Portland singer-songwriter, Anna Gilbert. Shy Honey’s music features epic, reverberant guitars and moody keys with a “prom night” desperation. The music is upbeat, dark and dance worthy with a subtle nod to the sounds that defined music of the 80s and 90s. Gilbert’s honey-dripped vocals float over synthy pop keys and catchy guitar riffs. Both modern and retro, catchy and experimental, Shy Honey is putting a spin on electro pop in a fresh way, garnering the attention of their hometown music community. The band played their debut show to a sold-out Doug Fir Lounge in Portland, OR. Two days later, they were asked to open for a People’s Choice Award nominated podcast, “Off the Vine” hosted by Kaitlyn Bristowe (former Bachelorette) at a sold out Aladdin Theater.
Shy Honey’s first two singles, “Reckless” and “Runaway” can be heard on local Portland radio stations as well as curated Spotify playlists.
