In January we present F W Murnau's symphony of horror accompanied by a live soundtrack. This is the fourth visit by Sink to the Star and Shadow, each film they’ve tracked has been extraordinary - deepening enveloping the visual with atmospherics and finesse that take you right into the experience. They used real-time ice to chill effect for Nanook of the North; here’s what Sink say about the music they’re preparing for Nosferatu:“Altered, dismembered and digitally augmented pianos, borrowed from the burgeoning side-project Pianodrome, form the backbone of an all new score. Near telepathic electronic/acoustic sounds to animate Murnau’s iconic blood-sucking classic."
This will be an evening of darkenings emanating from the darkness of the age that the Vampire embodies. Come prepared to be enmeshed in a world of moonlight vaulted tombs bloodless flesh shimmering skin. Remember: the sun will rise.
