Northwest Vocal Arts Summer Camp: Youth Choral Academy

Do your kids love to sing or want to learn how? Students of all ages can find their voice at the NWVA Youth Choral Academy!
About this Event

NWVA's Summer Choral Academy is a week-long (August 10-14) camp dedicated to nurturing budding virtuosos of all ability levels. Younger children (PreK-5th grade) can sing loud, dance wildly and make joyful noise with a licensed PDX music teacher. We'll do singing games and build confidence. Tuition is $400 for the week. Aftercare is available for an extra fee until 5:00 pm.

Older children (grades 6th-12th grade) will sharpen their skills for next school year with masterclasses, mentorship, solo and ensemble performance opportunities, private lessons, group-building and more! Our guest clinician is Portland composer, singer and teacher Lisa Neher, and the afternoon choir will be led by NWVA's Assistant Conductor Karen Bohart and Executive Artistic Director Dr. Samuel Barbara. Tuition is $250.

The week culminates on Friday with a free performance for friends and family!

Sheet music, snacks and water provided. Students should bring a lunch.

Prior experience is not required.
