On behalf of the WCC President, Will Austin, and the SCCC President, Corey Homer, we would be honored to have the attendance of yourself and any of your staff/faculty/students on October 17, 2025, at Sussex Community College, where we will be hosting our inaugural joint forum on Agriculture Development in NW New Jersey. Of course, we welcome any farmers or people involved in Agribusiness in any capacity as well. This is a free event oriented on promoting thought and policies which can lead to New Jersey's growth both regionally and globally as an agricultural powerhouse. Northwest New Jersey has the potential to become a great producer for much in the Ag sector, as we are awaiting the building of a food processing plant in Warren County, and we have scores of farmers who are anxious to scale from hobby farmers or local providers to more profitable entities.
We see our local producers' access to markets limited, and their ability to do so compromised by distributors who access farms regionally to undercut our local farmers. Through forums like these, we hope to inspire thoughts on how to improve and grow New Jersey's food suppliers in ways beneficial to the soil, the people and the farmers themselves.
So much of our purpose with this forum relates to the efforts have provided in this space, and not only is your attendance highly valued by our team, but we are also hoping to begin a future collaboration where we may be able to help influence the progression of policy at local and state levels which will grow and improve our Agricultural industry.
Please see our attached flier, and our press release.
