Join us for this incredible fundraising event! Four of the region's best martial arts instructors come together to share their knowledge and skill of EXTREME SELF DEFENSE with you to raise money for the Joni's Angels Martial Arts Scholarship program - 501c3 nonprofit program that pays for poverty level youth to attend great martial arts classes - for an entire year - free of charge. Here's what we have in store for you:
Saturday, November 8th - The action starts a 10 AM* with Expert Instructor Steve Altfillisch presenting great HANDGUN AND RIFLE DISARMING TECHNIQUES from both Krav Maga and his own personal defense system. These are techniques that are only to be used in life-or-death scenarios … and they are both EFFECTIVE and BRUTAL!!!
At 12:30, we will break for lunch and fuel up for training with the next great Instructor.
At 1:30, we dive right back into the action with Ajarn Gabriel Harrington and TACTICAL BLADED SELF DEFENSE. Between 1:30 and 4 PM, Ajarn Harrington will be presenting a well-rounded combination of Bram Frank's CSSD, Modern Arnis and Lotus Self-Defense that will not only introduce you to the harsh realities of fighting with a blade, but will also teach you what you need to know to deal with such a threat effectively!!!
On Sunday, November 9th, a rare treat - back to back presentations by two highly skilled veteran martial artists who each have over 40 years of experience in PRACTICAL FIGHTING ARTS.
The fun starts at 10 AM** with Master Mike Edmonson, a master-level Instructor of Kung Fu San Soo and a direct disciple of the legendary Jimmy Woo! Master Edmonson with be sharing his knowledge of SELF DEFENSE AGAINST MULTIPLE ATTACKERS. Learn how to even the odds when you are confronted by more than one assailant. This presentation will not only teach you what to do in such situations … it will show you how to easily gain the upper hand! Yet another great presentation that you don't want to miss!
As before, we will break for lunch between 12:30 and 1:30.
The excitement continues from 1:30 to 4 PM with Sifu Charlie Hicks, a highly-skilled master-level Instructor with a background and lineage in Jeet Kune Do (3rd Generation), Wing Chun and Filipino Martial Arts that can be traced directly back to Bruce Lee and the legendary pioneers that brought these well-known reality-based fighting arts to the United States! Sifu Charlie will be giving a presentation on EMPTY HAND and WEAPON IMMOBILIZATION and the application of techniques in ESPADA Y DAGA ("Sword and Dagger") that you really don't want to miss out on! This great presentation will show you how to take what you learn in the practice of drills and turn them into applicable skills that you can use for real-world self defense!!!
Registration is just $60 for one day (Saturday or Sunday - no splitting days) or $120 for two! (We strongly recommend that you register for BOTH. You don't want to miss any of this event - and it is for a GREAT cause.)
We are also offering our HAND-CRAFTED, FIRE-HARDENED ESCRIMA STICKS at this event for just $50 a pair - so if you don't already have a pair to train with (or if you would just like to have a couple of our superior quality sticks), use the "with sticks" option to register and we will make a set - complete with a certificate of authenticity - just for you!
