The Raven Lunatics are a blues-rock band known for upbeat original songs that reflect on life in a relatable, thoughtful way. Guitarist and singer-songwriter Shane Smith, influenced by old-school blues, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Hendrix, and the Stones, moved to Vancouver Island about a decade ago. Bassist Lonni McLeod, born in Port Alberni with Red River roots, brings a mix of rock, blues, metal, and country to the sound. Multi-instrumentalist Roger Riche, originally from Newfoundland and now based in Parksville, plays drums and is just happy to be out there "making noise".
