About this Event
Join us for a very special candlelit 3-course dinner and concert featuring the enchanting Northern Isle Trio.
Delight in our warming plant-based seasonal dinner, served at candlelit long tables, followed by a melodic voyage through the British Isles, Scandinavia, and beyond, as the The Northern Isle Trio weaves their captivating tapestry of Celtic harp, piano, and violin.
Solstice Dinner Menu
Starter:
Homemade rosemary focaccia with beetroot hummus
Main:
Plant-based Shepherd's Pie with rich lentil and organic tempeh, served with organic seasonal veg and our in-house sauerkraut.
Dessert:
A delectable dark chocolate ganache torte
Beverages, including kombucha. beer, wine, and an array of warm drinks will be available for purchase throughout the evening.

About Northern Isle Trio
Hannah Lord (piano)
Hannah is a graduate of the Folk and Traditional Music degree at Newcastle University where she studied piano and fiddle. She spent a year at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki where she was taught by the brilliant painist Timo Alakotila, bringing a Scandanavian influence to her playing. Hannah hosts the popular monthly Folk Music Night at Daily Bowl (playing both piano and violin) which draws musicians from across the South West and beyond.
Alex Lord (violin)
Alex is a National Youth Folk Orchestra member and spent three years learning and playing fiddle with the reknowned Sam Sweeney. He has a love for English music, especially tunes and songs that have been hidden away in manuscripts. He was a BBC young folk musician nominee and now plays and sings in the Shanty band, The Jack Tars.
Arabella Ayen (Celtic harp)
Arabella is a Celtic harpist from the Isle of Man, a member of the Scran Youth Folk Ensemble and a harp teacher. She has played for the Lieutenant Governor of the Isle of Man, Edinburgh Harp Festival with Rachel Hair's Classagh Manx Harp Ensemble and performed at the Festival Interceltique de Lorient last August alongside Ny Fennee Manx Dancing group.
