We're moving the scene east for our next quarterly gathering. After two nights in Manchester, October takes us to Leeds.

This one's different. It's not a showcase, it's not a pitch night. It's access.

We've got Stephen joining us. He spent years buying for Tesco and Co-op before leaving this summer to set up his own consultancy. He's sat on the other side of the table for longer than most of us have been trading, and he's kindly offered to come and give us his time.

The format is simple. An open Q&A where you ask him anything. Silly questions welcome. The ones you're too embarrassed to ask in a pitch meeting, the pricing questions, the listing questions, the "why did that buyer go quiet on me" questions. Nothing off limits.

This is for anyone getting ready for retail, or anyone who's already in and hitting walls they can't work out. Stephen's seen thousands of brands come through his old buying desk. He knows what works, what gets binned, and what buyers actually think but never say to your face.
