North West - People Planet Pint x Energising Britain
About this Event
About Energising Britain
We are on a mission to make the UK a clean energy superpower. Energising Britain is part of our commitment to involve people in climate and nature policy design and delivery, helping improve decisions and strengthen public participation in the transition.
In our Energising Britain public participation plan (December 2025), we committed to holding an annual Energising Britain event. The event will showcase inspiring projects and highlight the power of community-led climate and nature action.
Our aim is to bring together community leaders, civil society and those working on climate, nature and energy to make meaningful connections, learn directly from those delivering change on the ground, and better understand the real-world opportunities and benefits of the net zero transition.
This year’s theme is electrification, with a focus on the practical steps needed to move further and faster towards clean power, aligned with the government’s wider work on electrification.
Why attend
- Be part of the first Energising Britain event and a flagship moment for public participation on climate and nature.
- See how action on climate is being delivered and understand how to build support for net zero.
- Gain practical insights and learning into how to move further and faster towards clean power through electrification.
- Hear directly from those delivering change on the ground and learn what is working across the UK.
- Better understand the real-world opportunities and benefits of the net zero transition.
Join delegates who have attended the conference to hear what they have learned and get stuck into the discussion!
Pop down to your local People Planet Pint meetup to find more about what's going on locally with sustainability and how you can get involved.
No pitches, powerpoints or panels. Just People, Planet, Pint/s.
Your local meetup is a great place to start your journey or continue learning, and meet diverse people to chat about life and how we can sustain it. Every job is a climate job, so come along and learn about how you can take action, as well as what is going on locally.
We welcome everyone, regardless of their experience or background. People Planet Pint is a space where everyone can feel comfortable learning about sustainability and sharing their ideas.
Afterall, creating a sustainable future requires connected communities. And what better way to bring everyone together than over a drink?
